Sewing Group

The current programs at CIELO Project are divided between

social and educational services.

We also provide training.

Proyecto Familia
This project provides counseling in the following programs:

  • Family Preservation Services which focus on keeping families who have children under 12 together,
  • Crisis Family Intervention which helps families with teenager work through their conflicts, and
  • Professional Psychological services for mental health therapy.

Proyecto Esperanza
Focusing on the topic of sexual assault, this project offers therapeutic counseling, advocacy, support group facilitation and prevention services to primary and secondary victims of sexual violence.

English Language Learning (ELL)
Classes are offered at three locations and various times to accommodate students’ busy schedules.  Child care is also provided.  Our philosophy is to provide meaningful, relevant and student-centered classes which assist families and individuals to become responsible for their own education.

Spanish Literacy
Students who did not complete their education in their home country have the opportunity to earn their primary and secondary educational credentials through the on-line course provided by the Mexican Education Department.

GED Preparation in Spanish
Bilingual tutors are available to assist Spanish-speaking students in learning the material needed to earn their General Education Development certificate.

 Computer Literacy
Classes are taught in Spanish to help students gain a working knowledge of how to operate computers

Sewing Project
This group of women meet to learn sewing and alteration skills with the goal of self-employment.
